Regional Privacy Disclosure

This disclosure supplements our Privacy Policy with information required by the laws of regions outside the Republic of Korea. If this disclosure differs from the Privacy Policy, this disclosure takes priority for users in the relevant region.
1. General

- We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
- The Service is only for people aged 19 or older.
2. United States

- The purposes and retention periods for each are set out in the Privacy Policy.
- We use sensitive personal information only to provide and secure the Service and to handle payouts and taxes, not to infer characteristics about you.
- In the past 12 months we have not sold personal information or shared it for targeted advertising. We treat Global Privacy Control signals as requests to opt out of sale and sharing.
Your rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas or Oregon), you may have the right to:
- know about and access the personal information we process;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete personal information;
- receive a copy in a portable format;
- opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising and profiling;
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights; and
- appeal a denied request.
Send requests to help@ypee.ai. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days, which may be extended by another 45 days with notice and reasons. If you use an authorized agent, we will confirm their written authorization. If you appeal a denial, we will respond with the result and our reasons within 60 days. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
Additional information for California residents
- We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code §1798.83).
- The Service is only for adults aged 19 or older, so we do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18.
Additional information for Nevada residents
We do not sell covered information as defined under Nevada law.
Companion chatbot disclosures
As required by California SB 243 and similar state laws:
- Characters on Yapee are AI, not people. We show this on the About page and the character chat screen.
- AI characters cannot provide real help in a crisis. If you are thinking about self-harm or suicide, stop the conversation and call or text 988.
- The Service may not be suitable for minors and is not available to anyone under 19.
3. European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. Send requests to help@ypee.ai and we will respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country.
International transfers
- The European Commission and the UK government have recognized the Republic of Korea as providing an adequate level of data protection. Information we process in Korea is transferred under those decisions.
- Information sent to providers in the United States or other countries is protected by appropriate safeguards offered by each provider, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider participates.
4. Canada
- Under PIPEDA and Quebec law, you have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent.
- Your information may be stored or processed in the Republic of Korea and the United States, where it may be accessible to public authorities under local law.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
5. Australia and New Zealand
- Your information may be disclosed to providers in the Republic of Korea and the United States.
- You have the right to access and correct your personal information.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
6. Other regions
If the law of your country gives you additional rights, we will handle your request under that law. Contact us at help@ypee.ai.
